Is the New QBasic Developre's Site in danger? It seems that Keiko is moving on to Visual Basic and while he seems to have decided on keeping the site up, there did seem to be a hint that it might have been taken down. The site was to be the home for newbie QBasic programmers, who can have their projects hosted and reviewed there.

As some of you have probably heard already, I have won an eBay auction for a GeForce 2 GTS with 64MB DDR RAM with a TV-Out. I hope that this can increase the performance of my computer enough to keep it from crashing when doing a few graphics intensive things. This means more uptime, so that translates to more time for me to do reviews.
Next upgrade: Sound Card. B-)

The Statto Site Awards have come to a close. GBGames came in second out of two for best Game Review Site, bested by V Planet. Also, this site was nominated for Best Site of 2001, which I find to be an honor, even though GBGames did not win.
Who knows though? Maybe next year...
- SITE NEWS:

I have just spent the past few hours downloading all of the pictures of game reviews from Photopoint.com because they are going to convert to a pay service. I don't want to pay so now I have to move all of the pics to my server, then convert all of the reviews to display those pics.
Could be a lengthy process.

A new project: Sound Blaster. Basically there are hundreds of graphics libraries and code samples for graphics, and about five for sound. A lot of the sound is not that good quality anyway. MIDIs never play the way they should, and basically games do not have good quality sound.
I hope to learn why and maybe even produce a library or something to contribute something great to the QBasic community.
If anyone can contribute anything to this great undertaking, please send email to pigeon_gb@yahoo.com. Thanks!
