| Seven teachers from Lake Park High School are conspiring to take over the world. After protesting, your radical opposition caused you to be condemned in the Control Labyrinth, where none have successfully escaped. If you escape, you must find a way to stop the Teachers... | |
| Hey look! A game that isn't based upon a medieval world with elves and dwarfs. This game is set in a near-futuristic land. The teachers from a school(which apparantly where the author attended when this game was made) have locked you in a dungeon, which can difficult to find your way out of. After that, you have to explore the town. In order to get through this section, you have to talk to everyone, and do so many times. Conspiracies abound, and some people have to be dealt with. You can find a weapon to kill others with, but I have found really no way that these people can do harm to you. The only harm comes in the next level, with many of a teacher's clones attacking you. It is rather interesting how the game plays differently in each section of the game. First you have to get out of a maze, then you have to solve the gossip game, and then you have to kill the enemy. Unfortunately, this game isn't very complex, and each section is quite easy, although the mazes can be difficult. I like how there is an option to look at an overall map of the area though. Very nice and helpful. I found that after defeating the game, I could not find out what happens because I had a memory error. I didn't know what I could do, but it wouldn't work for me. It is very hard to lose this game. You have to really try to do so. Besides that though, this game provides a refreshing change from swords and goblins. |

| I like the images in this game. It is quite tile based, but there are a lot of things that make it seem so much better. For one, the screen just looks good. Two, the town folk actually move! They are not animated in any way, but they do move so it may seem like you might have lost someone! The gun is the most animated part of the game. It basically shoots a red line out, and if it hits something, it causes an explosion. All of the imagery in the game is quite varied as well, at least in the later sections. The first area is quite redundant looking, but it is supposed to be a dreary maze that adds to the atmosphere. I like how many items you can pick up, even if they are not all useful. The game does fail in the animation department, but it is quite well done otherwise. Conversations are done through scanned yearbook photos from the school, so it is quite cool to see that someone has made a game based upon their friends at school. The novelty doesn't work as well unless you go there I suppose, but it can be funny to talk to some of the people. | |
| You move around, and you shoot. You can also bring up a submenu and do things like look at the map and use items. I found that this game also makes good use of the Drop Item option. It is no longer a silly thing to use. It actually plays a large role in the game! It was tile based movement though. I didn't like how people could walk through you like you weren't there though. If they were moving, it was like they don't actually take up space, so you can walk through them all you wanted to. Once they stopped, they all of a sudden block your way. I found it too inconsistent, but it would do nothing more than cause a nuisance than anything else. The controls for the most part were easy to use and play with. | |
| Well, I found out recently that my PC speaker has not been working. According to the V Planet review, this game does have PC speaker sound, so I will have to give it a grade here based on that. It is basically limited to the sound your gun makes when you shoot it, but it should sound good for that. | |
| As stated above, this game was very easy. I found it very hard to lose the game since you don't really find any threat to your health. The mazes are tough to navigate, but not too tough, and the enemies that do attack have a simple AI. Especially the end bosses. Too easy for evil conspiring teachers if you ask me. If this game offered more of a challenge, I think it would do well. | |
| I do have to admit that this game was fun while I played it. I wish there was more to it and that it wouldn't have that memory problem so I can see the ending, but for what it is, I liked it. The gameplay was varied (or inconsistent, depending on your view), but it didn't last too long. The replay value is nonexistent since there is no variety and I can't even see the ending anyway. Still, it was different from most RPGs I have played in that it wasn't based on the Final Fantasy engine. | |
| I found this game to be different, but it could be so much better. It was too short, and it wasn't interesting enough to play that much. Once you get past the first section, it gets interesting and fun, but for the most part it is too easy to play. It looks good, but it could play so much better than it does. | |
