| Car racing in QBasic. Get to the finish as fast as possible! | |
| Designed quite nicely. The game is basically a race against time.
You could, however, race against a second player! There are issues as to how
the controls were made, but still. There are multiple tracks to choose from, and there is also a track editor, which allows the game to have third party add-ons, like WetSpot 2. This track editor has a terrible interface, but it is how the game's tracks were designed. The only real design problem is that the two player mode is slow. This is due to the game having to calculate everything twice. |

| The track itself is boring to look at, but is alright. The engine is pixel by pixel scrolling, so the game actually runs as a racing game should. The actual car is not made the same way, and it might in fact be 3D in QBasic. It is a bit blocky looking, which might make it seem like it is just bad graphics. I think that this game had a lot going for it. If there could be some added features, like extra backgrounds, it would have made this game a lot more interesting to look at. | |
| Very good control. A little bit of getting used to, but overall there is little that can be complained about. Basically move forward, turn, and that's it. Acceleration takes getting used to, but it is quickly and easily learned. | |
| Limited sound effects. The engine roar, the cars collide, and the checkpoints make a chime when you run over them, but there is not much else. Some cool music would have been good. | |
| Not much challenge at all. You just try to get to the end in the quickest time. Running off the actual track doesn't slow you down, so you can run off track to beat the times or your opponent. Maybe if there could be some obstacles or something else that could add to the challenge this game could be better. | |
| I found this game to be pretty cool. I had some fun trying to put my name up for the fastest time on each track. I did get bored easily since each track works the same no matter what the design is. Basically hit all checkpoints and get to the end. Not much to it. | |
| This game could use some extra's, like more varied graphics, some interesting twists in the racing engine, and better sound (although we can forgive that one). I found it quite interesting and loved the intro. So much is possible in 3D, and this intro makes it apparent. The game itself uses little if any of the 3D graphics, which is not so bad. The controls are good so far as the game needs them, but the actual gameplay could be more varied. | |
